Stash is a link saver that runs on your iPhone. This page is the whole story of what it does with your data. It is short because there is not much to tell.
01 / On your device
Everything you save stays on your device
The links you save, their titles, your notes, your tags and your collections are stored by Stash on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to a server, and I never see them.
02 / Accounts
No accounts
There is no sign-up and no login. Stash never asks for your name, your email address or a password.
03 / Ads
No ads
There are no ads in Stash.
04 / Tracking
No tracking
Stash does not track you. It does not follow you across other apps or websites, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
05 / Analytics
Anonymized usage analytics
Stash sends a small set of anonymized usage events through TelemetryDeck, so I can see which parts of the app get used. This is the complete list of what is sent.

What is never sent
The content of what you save. An event records that something happened, never a URL, a title, a note, or the name of a tag or a collection. The events are not linked to you or to any account.
06 / Sharing
Nothing you share passes through a server
A link or text share contains the titles, addresses, sources and summaries of what is in it, plus the collection or tag name. It never contains your notes or your tags - those stay on your device.
A link share travels inside the link itself: no server stores it, and only people holding the link can read it. A text share is exactly the text you see, and goes only where you send it.
A for-AI share is different by design. The markdown bundle includes your notes and tags, because it exists to hand your own reading list - with your own context - to an AI you use; a URL list contains only the addresses themselves. Stash still uploads nothing anywhere: both are plain text that only travels where you send it. The bundle also suggests the AI fetch pages through defuddle.md, a third-party service the app itself never contacts.
